For government has transitioned to using the Queensland Government design system. If you have feedback, please use the form at the bottom of this page.

Work is continuing as part of our transition to QPS and is progressing from planning to preparation phase. The Reform Implementation Taskforce (RIT) which was established as the single point of contact to support the transition are increasing the focus on communication and engagement with key stakeholders in the coming weeks and months ahead. There will naturally continue to be a collaborative effort between teams from QFES, QPS and SES to ensure the transition is carefully planned and people kept aware of the next steps.

The engagement sessions which were scheduled for late April will be re-scheduled very soon. This will be an opportunity to hear from our executives about the progress being made with the preparation for transition and to hear from staff and volunteers about issues impacting them as part of the process.

As you can appreciate, transitioning SES to QPS is complex work and is taking time. However, the team are working to provide information to you very soon about how the transition will occur and what you need to do to prepare to transition.

Please be assured, as updates are known there will be opportunity to answer questions and provide clarity on how the new SES will operate.

If you feel you aren’t coping or need support during these uncertain times please speak to your leader, or contact the Fire and Emergency Services Support Network by calling 1800 805 980 anytime.
