RIT - Townhall Engagement Sessions

The Queensland Government is delivering one of the most significant bodies of change to Queensland's disaster and emergency management system, ensuring we are best placed to continue delivering exceptional services to all Queenslanders.

To facilitate the implementation of this reform, the Government has authorised and funded a team of experts from across emergency services agencies to form a Reform Implementation Taskforce (RIT).  The Taskforce is closely collaborating with all stakeholders, including Queensland Fire and Emergency Services, State Emergency Services and the Queensland Reconstruction Authority, to ensure a measured, consistent, and cohesive implementation of the changes.

Information, on the current reform activities happening across disaster management, the State Emergency Service, Fire and Rescue and the Rural Fire Service is now available on the RIT ForGov Website.

To facilitate the sharing of information on these reforms, staff and volunteer engagement sessions are recommencing the week commencing Monday 24 July 2023 at the Kedron Auditorium.  The sessions will be livestreamed and recorded for anyone unable to attend in person.
