We have less than a month to go until transition! We’re going to recap some of the topics we’ve covered previously, and we also have some new information for you.

Uniform ordering

To clarify from the previous newsletter, operational staff need to send their uniform order to Senior Sergeant Paul Kelly by COB 29 September 2023.

Make sure you check your sizing and attach the order form you received last week.

We have included an excerpt from the Finance Factsheet to remind you of what needs to be completed regarding your corporate card.

Ensure any existing direct debit arrangements are transferred to a new QPS corporate card where applicable.

Complete the Corporate Card cancellation form (CC3 Cancellation form) and destroy your QFES Corporate Card. The form will be signed by your current Corporate Card Manager.

Note: The above dates are the latest for each activity. We encourage you to finalise coding/approvals before the 30 October 2023 transition date, where possible.

Noting that if you use your card right up to the 26 October 2023, there may a short delay in seeing transactions in ExpenseMe Pro to code.

Onboarding 

The following steps are required for a new QPS corporate card to be issued:

  • Complete the following forms:
    • “Queensland Government Corporate Purchasing Card Application” (see below for details of how to complete the application)
    • CBA Certified Copies Identification Form
    • QPS Corporate Card Application Form
    • QPS Cardholder Conditions of Use
  • Email completed forms to FinHelpdesk@police.qld.gov.au by 15 September 2023.
  • QPS Finance Division will distribute new QPS cards by 20 October 2023.
  • Use of new QPS cards will commence from 4 November 2023.

New positions

The Emergency Management and Coordination Command (EMCC) will be advertising a number of new positions within the Command.

Memorandum of Understanding

The MOU between QPS, QFES and QRA has been drafted and is out for consultation with relevant stakeholders. The MOU’s purpose is to ensure business can continue until all disaster management functions have been transitioned to QPS by 30 June 2024.
