Get policy and legal advice
The Department of Justice and Attorney-General's Strategic Policy and Legal Services business unit provides government departments with:
- policy advice
- legal advice and support
- community consultation.
They:
- lead and promote developing and implementing legal services policy and practice across government
- ensure government obligations are fulfilled for protecting and accessing personal information in accordance with the Right to Information Act 2009 and Information Privacy Act 2009
- oversee the appropriate conduct of lawyers, law practices, and their employees.
