People Matters leadership programs

Complete the People Matters leadership programs to gain practical skills and confidence in managing people, performance and change in the workplace.

Program participants can attend in-person or virtually.

The People Matters and Performance Conversations programs align with the Leadership competencies for Queensland Team Leader stream.

Discuss your leadership goals and development actions with your supervisor during your performance and development conversations.

Completing these programs could form part of your performance and development agreement.

Visit Leadership competencies for Queensland and complete a competencies self-assessment.

Build skills and confidence to effectively manage people, performance and change in the workplace. Understand your personal leadership style and team dynamics to improve workplace engagement and productivity.

Course details

In-person participation includes pre-work, 3 full days of facilitated workshops and a workplace practice activity.

Virtual participation includes pre-work and 6 x 2.5-hour facilitated online sessions across 3 days.

Agencies can request an in-house program for up to 20 participants.

Build skills and confidence to manage employee performance conversations and create a positive performance team culture. Understand your role in legislative requirements to proactively manage performance.

Course details

In-person participation includes pre-work and a full day facilitated workshop.

Virtual participation includes pre-work and 1 full day of facilitated online sessions.

Agencies can request in-house program delivery for up to 20 participants.

Understand the changes under the new Recruitment and selection directive. Develop the skills and knowledge to conduct recruitment and selection processes that align with the Public Sector Act 2022.

In-person participation includes pre-work and a full day facilitated workshop.

Virtual participation includes pre-work and 1 full day of facilitated online sessions.

Agencies can request in-house program delivery for up to 20 participants.

Under a Standing Offer Arrangement (PSC-02-2022) between the Institute of Managers and Leaders ANZ and the Public Sector Commission, no tender process is required for agency participants to attend People Matters programs.
