Summary

This directive describes the steps you must follow when recruiting for a chief executive role appointed under section 92 of the Public Service Act 2008.

  • You must complete a merit assessment.
  • The Premier must appoint the chair of the selection panel.
  • The chair must appoint 3 additional panel members  who are gender diverse and appropriately qualified. One panel member must not currently be employed in the Queensland public sector.
  • The chair and panel must document the role requirements, appropriately validate the candidates' claims, and provide a selection report for the Premier to consider.
