Deputy Directors-General Digital, information, communication and technology steering committee
On the 8 May 2018 the Directors-General ICT Council agreed that the accountabilities of the DG ICT Council would be better incorporated into the Chief Executive Officer Leadership Board. To support this Board a Steering Committee at Deputy Director-General level would be created which focussed on Digital and ICT Matters.
The Deputy Directors-General Digital, Information, Communication and Technology Steering Committee (DDG DICTSC) has been established to meet monthly and report the CEO Board quarterly.
Attendees
The DDG DICTSC is comprised of nominated members from:
- Deputy Director-General, Department of the Premier and Cabinet
- Executive General Manager, Queensland Treasury
- Deputy Director-General, Department of Health
- Chief Executive, eHealth, Department of Health
- Deputy Director-General, Department of Education
- Deputy Director-General, Department of Transport and Main Roads
- Deputy Director-General, Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors
- Deputy Commissioner, Queensland Police Service
- Deputy Commissioner, Public Service Commission
- Deputy Commissioner, Queensland Fire and Emergency Services
- Chief Operating Officer, Public Safety Business Agency.
Outcomes
The key functions of the Steering Committee will be to:
- Support investment review
- Provide oversight on Governance and Assurance for the effective delivery of digital transformation
- Endorse new or significantly amended digital and ICT policy under the Queensland Government Enterprise Architecture (QGEA)
- Ensure transparency and provide strategic oversight of high impact ICT enabled initiatives
- Advise the responsible Minister and the CEO Leadership Board on strategy, governance, assurance and implementation of ICT delivery and ICT enabled initiatives.
The Queensland Government Chief Information Office (QGCIO) continues to provide secretariat advisory and support services in the coordination of the DDG DICTSC to ensure all ICT projects and initiatives have been submitted through the Investment review process.
Initiatives that require Investment Review and Assurance must have passed through the gated process before they will be accepted onto an agenda. Please allow at least 3 weeks for this process to occur.
Initiatives that only require a Matter to Note and are to be considered as an agenda item can be negotiated with the ICT Secretariat.
