Funnelback
Funnelback is a whole of Government search engine solution that produces a unified search experience for users. It provides insights into user behaviour, search trends to improve customer experience, and a suite of tools to transform, audit and analyse site content.
Funnelback provides the tools to:
- make content easily discoverable
- drive customer engagement by defining the results particular users see
- see what customers are searching for
- analyse and optimise search results
- customise to suit your needs using industry-specific search page templating.
Smart Service Queensland (SSQ) provides Funnelback without charge to all Queensland Government departments, agencies and statutory bodies wanting to use the service. SSQ provides basic server-side configuration setup and a limited level of support.
Complex and customised integration or implementation of Funnelback requires engagement with the Funnelback support team, and would be at the customer’s expense.

Funnelback access types
1. Administration Dashboard (Search Dashboard)
The Administration Dashboard is the central control for Funnelback search. It contains tools that:
- create, manage and configure search packages, data sources and results page
- manage users and roles.
2. Marketing Dashboard (Insights Dashboard)
The Marketing Dashboard allows access to analytical and optimisation tools used to improve the end-user experience of Funnelback search. It allows you to:
- analyse user interaction by demographics, top searches and click-tracking
- improve search results by using the accessibility, content or SEO auditors
- optimise result pages using the curation and tuning tools.
