Role of the Contracts Committee

The Department of Housing, Local Government, Planning and Public Works Contracts Committee oversees the review, development and application of building procurement methodologies to help meet government objectives and comply with the Building Policy Framework.

The committee’s purpose aligns with these policy requirements in the Building Policy Framework:

  • Policy requirement 3 – Procurement strategy and contract selection
  • Policy requirement 6 – Tender evaluation plans.

  • Tuesday 27 August 2024
  • Tuesday 24 September 2024
  • Tuesday 22 October 2024
  • Tuesday 26 November 2024

Submissions

All high risk or significant (HRS) building projects must make a submission to the committee, with supporting documents and information, in line with the Building Policy Framework and Building Policy Guideline.

Submissions for noting

  • Are you following the published procurement guidance?
  • Are you using one of the standard approved contracts?

If you answered yes to both questions, use a submission for noting form (DOCX, 859.3 KB) .

Submissions for endorsement

  • Is your procurement strategy a departure from published procurement guidance?
  • Is your contract a departure from a standard approved contract?

If you answered yes to one or both questions, use a submission for endorsement form (DOCX, 867.2 KB) .
